Does Egyptian garlic face EU anti-dumping duties?
No. Egyptian garlic enters the EU duty-free under the EU-Egypt Association Agreement with EUR.1 Movement Certificate. Chinese garlic faces up to 9.6% anti-dumping duty in the EU. This makes Egyptian garlic price-competitive landed cost even with a slightly higher FOB.
What is the shelf life of Egyptian garlic and how should it be stored?
Fresh season garlic: 6–8 months in CA (controlled atmosphere) cold storage at 0–2°C, 65–70% RH. For long-distance shipping, pre-cooling to 2°C before loading is standard. We provide temperature monitoring records for reefer shipments if required.
What documentation is provided for GCC market imports?
For GCC: Halal Certificate (EOS), Phytosanitary Certificate (Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture), Certificate of Origin, CoA, and commercial invoice/packing list. SFDA registration support available for Saudi Arabia market.
Can you supply custom retail-branded packaging?
